S&W is one of the UK and Ireland’s fastest-growing accountancy and advisory firms, and Behind the Growth is their way of shining a light on the businesses they work with – sitting down with founders and leaders to unpick the decisions, risks and turning points that actually built their companies.
Monty came on board to bring the series to life: casting and hosting, studio build, filming, and post-production, working hand-in-hand with Conran on format, design and creative direction throughout.
We built the show around broadcaster Lara Lewington as host – best known for her tech and business journalism – filmed across multiple blocks in Studio 5 at Tower Bridge Studios in London.
We wanted a space that felt premium and broadcast-ready without losing intimacy: a clean, modern set, properly lit, built for the kind of open, honest conversation the format depends on.
And the guest list has delivered exactly that so far. Episode one saw Lara sit down with Conrad Ford, founder of fintech start-up Funding Options and now at Allica Bank, on moving from solo decision-maker to building resilient governance for rapid scale.
Episode two brought in Darcy Laceby of Absolute Collagen, on scaling a brand she built with her mother from a kitchen-table experiment into a category leader. And episode three featured Stuart Trevor, founder of AllSaints, on the trials of building one of the UK’s most recognisable fashion brands – from leaving a secure job to launching his own label, through financial pressure and international expansion, to eventually stepping away.
Each episode pairs the headline interview with a “reflections” segment – a more conversational, office-based piece between Lara and S&W’s own experts, unpacking what each guest’s story means in practice.
None of it happens without a genuinely joined-up production team. Alongside our own crew, we worked with Conran on everything from studio brief and set design through to episode-by-episode review, and brought in specialist production partners for the shoot days themselves – multi-camera crews, sound, and studio logistics across every filming block.
It’s the kind of project that only comes together with everyone rowing in the same direction: strategy, design and production all talking to each other constantly, not working in silos. Projects like Behind the Growth are exactly why we love what we do – taking a brand’s ambition for genuinely great, broadcast-quality content and building the whole thing from the ground up, studio and all.
